1914 Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost 43YB and
1913 Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost 2477.
Will the real 43YB please stand up.
Several years ago we had the great pleasure of meeting the owners of SG 2477. 2477 was fitted with Brewster touring coachwork, fitted from another car. The car had just come from another restoration facility but needed further assistance. During this time we happened to discover the original chassis, 43YB for which this body was originally fitted. And, was available for purchase! There are no words to describe the satisfaction of reuniting a 100 + year old chassis to its original body. The deal was made and the second car with chassis 43YB was purchased. The two cars remained as they were for a few years for the family to enjoy. Fast forward and the decision was made by the owners to proceed with fitting the original Brewster coach work back onto 43YB. We removed the body from 2477 and stowed it away for safe keeping. We then removed the body from 43YB and placed that onto 2477. Are you with me so far? 2477 was restored to a lovely touring car with a flashy new red coat of paint. She is the road runner of the two cars. After the 2477 project was completed we moved on to 43YB. Success! 43YB now has its original Brewster Touring Body and has been transformed back to the lovely lady she was originally in 1914. 43YB went onto The Amelia Island Concourse in 2017 where she won the Millard Newman Corporate Award. A huge thank you to the family, we are blessed to have you in our lives.
